SOUND FREE DIWALI :-( THERE ARE OTHER IMPORTANT MEASURES ASWELL TO BE TAKEN CARE OF..

I remember as a kid the festival for which I waited for was Diwali...

Simply b'coz of CRACKERS.... We used to save pocket money to buy crackers... Phirki, Chidya, Rocket, Dharti Phod Bumb, Anaar Bumb, Saanp...

List was long and resources limited...

I remember once we tried to create our own flare bomb 3-4 days before Diwali and the experiment went horribly wrong... Infact, my neighborer's son got severely burnt on face and hands... "Ooooops....... The Diwali is OVER :-(" was the 1st reaction in my mind at that time... Rather than taking my friend to hospital we were busy in collecting the leftover crackers...... Playing with crackers was the passion of each kid.... And I know the same is today as well... And I respect that concern of our government also...

But much greater emphasis needs to be given to other means of pollution which are directly under the statutory control of our state governments. To pinpoint few I would not hesitate in naming the industries dealing in chemical works but it is not fair on my part as I am also bound to withhold the information I receive through my professional en devours...

However, question remain in my mind :- On one side government want people to SAY NO To CRACKERS and on other side huge arrangements are made to sell crackers...

Though the time limit is there but "Who Cares...." is the attitude...

I personally believe that the onus is on all of us... The Citizens... to make a choice.
